SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED FOR TOURISM AWARDS PRESS RELEASE 24thApril 2007 SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED FOR TOURISM AWARDS A host of local businesses have been shortlisted for the 2007 Northern Ireland Tourism Awards in association with bmi, after judging was completed on more than one hundred entries. Winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony to be held at the Ramada Hotel, Belfast on Thursday 31st May. The event, now in its 29th year, is a highlight of the tourism calendar and recognises the hard work and achievements of the tourism industry. Commenting on the awards Alan Clarke, Chief Executive at NITB said, “The number and quality of entries has once again highlighted the hard work that takes place across the industry each year.Visitor servicing and the quality of productcontinue to improve and I congratulate all of the nominees for their efforts in these areas. It is important that such work continues to push Northern Ireland forward as a world class destination. “This year the judges had a very tough job, with so many excellent entries.
