The tourism industry is set to hear the Canadian perspective on growing a successful and dynamic tourism sector at an industry wide conference on Tuesday 5th March at the La Mon Hotel and Country Club, Belfast.

The NITB conference will focus on the theme of “Building the Northern Ireland Tourism Experience” and will feature expert speakers from Canada, England and Northern Ireland.

Paul Nursey, Vice-President of Strategy and Corporate Communications with the Canadian Tourism Commission will be joined by Nancy Arsenault, one of Canada's thought leaders in tourism and an expert in experiential travel, to share best practice.

Geoff Burch, an internationally recognised motivational speaker and presenter of BBC2’s All Over the Shop from the UK will also address the delegates.

NITB will present new market research and provide business tools and direction to enable delegates to develop their businesses and increase tourism profits based on targeted marketing and 'experience' differentiation.

Alan Clarke, NITB Chief Executive NITB, “Today’s visitors want to explore the unique and the unexpected, they want to immerse themselves in experiences when travelling and they want to be engaged in everything that they do when they get here.

“This conference is a great opportunity for the tourism industry to learn how to make best use of this latest research on key markets and what motivates visitors to come here. We will provide tools for the industry to help them develop and cluster memorable experiences to maximise their profits”.
