Downpatrick Cultural Development Plan

Develop visitor orientation at five key sites in the Cultural Quarter. This will include public art, interpretation and installation of new site furniture. The plan will also look at refurbishing the steps at the right hand side of the Saint Patrick Centre to link with the Down County Museum.

Refurbishment of entrance tower, Demarcation of entrance road, replacement of stone cross, provision of pillars, displays, orientation, interpretation panels and display stands within the Cathedral. Replacement of the High Cross with a replica. Provision of pillars on either side of the steps that lead to Patrick’s Grave.
