Fermanagh Lakelands

Fermanagh is one of nine key tourism areas in Northern Ireland, covering the Fermanagh District Council local authority area.

A steering group was set up and a Destination Fermanagh Tourism Strategy was developed in 2005, and updated in 2010 by key tourism partners in Fermanagh including Fermanagh District Council; Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism, NITB and external consultants with a key output being a ten year plan which would provide a framework for tourism development.  A review of this has recently taken place again with a new destination plan currently being drafted for the area tying in with the Tourism Strategy for Northern Ireland.

NITB works alongside key agencies in Fermanagh such as Fermanagh District Council, Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism, the Destination Fermanagh Steering Group and Waterways Ireland in enhancing and promoting the Fermanagh region.
